Sniper case moves to the courtroom
With the arrest of John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo, the Washington-D.C. area sniper case moved into the legal arena. Muhammad, 41, and Malvo, 17, are suspected in a cross-country shooting spree through Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, Louisiana, Washington state and the District of Columbia. Virginia will mount the first case against the two suspects and prosecutors there are seeking the death penalty.
